Adobe have announced their 2024 Release Calendar
Adobe are dedicated to providing better customer support while minimising the frequency and complexity of releases.
The 2023 release strategy expanded the support window while providing more security updates.
Below is a brief summary of the 2023 – 2024 update calendar.
What is staying the same
- core patch security releases, performance, GrapQL coverage, and high risk bug fixes
- New features are released as independent SaaS services
- 1 full core patch release in April 2023.
Magento 2.4.7 will feature an extended 3 year support window - New ways to integrate, customise and deploy new features without making changes to the core code
What is changing
- An increasing to five security-only patch releases for all currently supported Adobe Commerce versions keeping businesses secure and compliant.
- Adobe will remove the two-week pre-release period to provide earlier access to the newest version of the platform through beta releases up to six months in advance.
