While it seemed a long time in the future when this was 1st announced that time is almost upon us. In July this year any site / web page that is not using https will be flagged as “NOT Secure”
While this not a problem to a casual blog for an ecommerce site this is not going to instill a sense of reasurance to your customers. By default Magento 1 secures only your checkout pages / account pages and so for a lot of store holders the 1st thing a customer will see in the top left hand corner of the site is “Not Secure”.
